Syllabus Navodaya School Entrance Examination : Class VI
Navodaya Vidyalaya conducts this Entrance Test every Year for the students get an admission in Class VI through out the country. The prescribed name of the test is Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST).
The time duration of JNVST is 2 Hours. Total No. of question are given is 80. And the Total marks of 100. It is totally objective type question paper discribed with in 3 Sections. No Negative Marking.
Section 1 : Mental Ability Test : No. of Question = 40, Marks =50 , Time = 60 Minutes
This section is for to find the mental ability of student. It is completely figure based pattern. As-
Finding Odd between, Figure Matching, Complete Pattern, Figure Series finding, Analogy section, Geometry diagram completion, Mirror Image, Hole Punch Pattern, Space Visualization and Embed Figure Finding.
Section 2 : Arithmetic Test : No. of Question = 20, Marks =25 , Time = 30 Minutes
Its a mathematical section cover topics as –
Number System, Whole number fundamentals, Fractional number fundamentals, Factors and multiples, LCM and HCF, Decimal fundamental operation, Fraction to decimal conversion, Measurement of Length, capacity, mass, money & time. , Distance finding with time, Expressions, Numeric Expression simplification, Percentage, Profit & Loss, Simple Interest and Perimeter of Area & Volume.
Section 3 : Language Test : No. of Question = 20, Marks =25 , Time = 30 Minutes
It is a Language assessment test. It consists of 3 Passages where each has 5 Questions. And it also consist of 10 grammatical questions.
Total : No. of Question = 80, Marks =100 , Time = 2 Hours
